Uplands Park - Protecting the Best of the Last
Windsor Pavilion
Chris Hyde-Lay, Manager of Oak Bay Parks Services, and Wylie Thomas, Manager of Invasive Species in Uplands Park, will provide an update on the federally supported project to restore and protect the globally endangered Garry Oak Ecosystem and discuss the challenges of balancing recreational use with biodiversity conservation. Among other things, they will discuss plans to improve sections of the existing trail network to make the park more walkable in winter. Everyone welcome! Refreshments served.
The Friends of Uplands Park Annual General Meeting will follow. Members that pay for their membership will be able to vote.
