Recreation Oak Bay is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming and safe environment where everyone can participate in a wide range of recreational opportunities regardless of age, ability, background and economic status.

Located in one of the most beautiful communities on Vancouver Island, Recreation Oak Bay is a department of the Corporation of the District of Oak Bay. The department is overseen by a Parks and Recreation Commission who has served one of Canada’s most active communities for more than 35 years.

Commission Information

Commission meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. Meetings are open to the public; however, the dates are subject to change. For more information, please see the Parks and Recreation Commission meeting minutes.

Public Participation Period:
