2026 Fall Leaf Collection
The District of Oak Bay’s Fall leaf collection follows two stages. The first stage starts in October and November. Public works will collect leaves from streets in Oak Bay based on demand. The second stage starts December 7. Public Works will collect leaves from each street in Oak Bay once, until all leaves have been collected.
2026 Leaf Collection Deadline
December 7, 2026
Place leaves on boulevard by December 7.
Important Tips
- Place leaves on the boulevard. Do not place leaves on the road, as this blocks storm drains and can cause stormwater issues.
- Residents who place leaves on the road are subject to fines.
- Do not place rocks, sticks, branches, or other material in the leaf pile. These items can damage our leaf machines, causing delays in our collection.
- If operators think a pile contains material that can harm the machine, they will refuse to collect it.
Tracking Leaf Collection Progress
New this year, we will be providing a live map residents can check to follow our leaf collection progress in December. This page will be updated with the map closer to the December residential collection.
