The District of Oak Bay is governed by one Mayor and six Councillors. Members of Council are elected for four-year terms, the last election was held in 2022.
Oak Bay Council represents the community and receives input from the public, staff, Committees and Commissions to inform their decisions.
Our community prides itself on strong, long running traditions. One of these traditions is getting our community engaged with what is going on at Municipal Hall. Council meetings are generally held at 7:00 pm on the second and fourth Mondays of each month and the Committee of the Whole meets at 7:00 pm on the third Monday. Meeting schedules, agendas and minutes are available on the District’s CivicWeb Portal.
