A Tsunami Advisory has been issued for Zone D, including Greater Victoria. There is a possibility of strong localized currents, with low lying coastal areas and beaches most at risk. No significant inundation risk at this moment. Community members are asked to stay away from shores.
District staff were on a conference call with the Province. There is no new information to share at this moment, however, we will share updates as they come in.
