The District of Oak Bay welcomes donations by residents and others through gifts or bequests in cash or kind. Funds can be directed to support a specific program (e.g. Emergency Preparedness) or area (e.g. the Monterey Centre) or for the installation of benches, picnic tables, water fountains or trees. Tax deductible receipts will be issued for donations over $10. Larger bequests can be directed to the District’s Legacies Fund. Monies in this fund are invested and the earnings as well as the original bequest help to fund projects in the areas specified by the donors.

Recreation Centre Donation
Celebrate the people focus of the Recreation Centre and have an individual or organization’s name show as a lasting legacy of support for this community facility.The lobby features a stylized Recognition Tree that showcases the generosity of donors.
Levels of Donation
- $100 – bronze leaf
- $250 – silver leaf
- $500 – gold leaf
- $1000 – acorn
- $5000 – foundation stone
For donations of $100 or more, donors can have their names engraved on stylized leaves and receive an oak leaf lapel pin. All donations are tax deductible. Donations of less than $100 are welcome and tax receipts will be issued for all donations of over $10.
Donations may be made at the Reception desk at Henderson, Monterey, and Oak Bay Recreation Centre or at the Oak Bay Municipal Hall.

The Municipality of Oak Bay seeks to increase the liveability and artistic richness of the community by making art accessible in public places and to create a legacy for future generations. Donations to the Public Art Fund will go towards public art installations throughout Oak Bay.
