Overview

The Community Calendar primary purpose is to provide a single calendar for all municipality-sanctioned events, including events related to Parks and Recreation, Emergency Program, Heritage, Police, Fire, etc. 

Oak Bay Municipality is inviting the public to submit other community events directly to the calendar of the municipal website. 

As a general guideline, A "Community Event" is described as:

  • an event held in Oak Bay for the general benefit of Oak Bay residents;
  • an event intended for the general public to attend;
  • a non-commercial event (no entrance fee or membership requested for attendance); and
  • an event held in a publicly-accessible site or facility (no private residences).

As a general guideline, no events related to business promotion will be posted. No internal events for membership-related organizations (i.e. Annual General Meetings) will be published. Only community-based events intended for the general public shall be considered.
