Groove Kitchen is admired for its tight, rhythmically in-the-pocket sound. Dancers love the band’s mix of music, which ranges from interpretations of classics by Maceo Parker, Steven Wonder and James Brown to reinventions of contemporary tunes by Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake.
Groove Kitchen is a funky, soulful dance band with a bit of Latin thrown in for good measure.
As one of the city’s most in-demand bands, GK has played many Victoria nightclubs as well as such high-profile events as the Victoria International Jazz Festival, Blues Bash, the Moss Street Paint Inn and the Dragon Boat Festival.
