The District of Oak Bay provides grants each year in support of community-provided services.
A completed application form and budget form, along with any additional information as needed, must be received by the Director of Financial Services by January 31 of each year in order to be considered during the annual budget deliberations.
2026 Grants in Aid Applications
We are now accepting applications for the 2026 process.
Changes for the 2026 Year
- Council will invite presentations immediately following the Jan 31 deadline in February to support events held in 2026. This differs from previous presentations held in May.
- Council policy amended to include a constraint for applications in the arts category. Only those applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria of the CRD Arts Commission shall be considered under Oak Bay’s Grant-in-Aid program.
Funding an arts organization or project?
You may be eligible for funding through the CRD Arts Development Service, which provides funding to arts organizations on behalf of eight municipalities in the capital region.
