An Oak Bay resident informed the Oak Bay Police that over the night of November 20th/21st that his car was vandalized in the 1500 block of Clive Drive, in Oak Bay. A window was smashed allowing access to the vehicle, and property within was removed.
On November 22nd, between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, an unknown person stole a locked woman’s dark blue Marin Terra Linda 27 speed bicycle from the 2000 block of Oak Bay Avenue in Oak Bay. This bike is quite rare and police are urging residents to keep their eyes open for it.
Other bikes were reported stolen to the Oak Bay Police between November 20th and 22nd from the 1700 block of Elgin Road in Oak Bay. The bikes are described as a girl’s white and red bike accompanied by a black fabric bag and heart and rainbow emblazoned helmet, and another as a girl’s Black and brown Norco with a wide brown leather seat, and having a worn brass bell on the left handlebar.
On November 23rd, a lost dog was found wandering the streets of Oak Bay. The owner was new to the province and extremely happy to have his pet returned. Oak Police are reminding local pet owners of the importance of having their pets chipped, leashed and collared.
The Oak Bay Police Department would like to remind community members that leaf blowers may not be operated in Oak Bay on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays outside the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays outside the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
