Park Category:
Sports, Developed
Description:

A developed park (1.3 hectare) with playing fields for soccer, baseball diamonds, viewing stands, a concession/storage building, children’s play area, Scout Hall and Girl Guide Hall.

Firefighter’s Park is an active sport and recreational park where children enjoy soccer and baseball on safe well-maintained fields, as well as creative activity in the children’s play area. When not in use for organized sports, the park provides green space for non-organized activity.

Firefighter’s Park is well used by organized sports and recreational users, with use limited to youth soccer and youth baseball due to the small size of the fields. The park is home to Carnarvon Baseball and the League maintains the “Jack Groves Field House” (concession/score-keeping building) and provides volunteers to assist in the maintenance of the ball diamonds.

Organized field use is by permit system. Casual, non-organized use is allowed during periods when the fields are not in use by permit holders or when closed for maintenance.
