Hello Friends of Uplands Park:

The next bird walk with Geoffrey Newell is this coming Friday, September 24th. We meet in the main parking lot at Cattle Point at 8:00 a.m. We are now entering peak fall migration and this is a great time of year to find rare birds. Just the other day, Geoffrey found a Magnolia Warbler in Uplands Park. There have been very few records of the species on Vancouver Island and it was a first for Oak Bay! A photo Geoffrey took of the bird is attached.
