Oak Bay Citizen Survey Beginning Week of September 19

September 13, 2016

The District of Oak Bay is conducting its first community satisfaction and priorities survey.   The survey will provide an opportunity for Mayor and Council to receive feedback on the services provided to residents and to hear the opinions held by the community on various priorities, initiatives and activities.  Survey results will assist the District in ensuring that its future activities and priorities align with those of the community.

The first survey will be a random sample of 400 Oak Bay residents who will be contacted by telephone beginning the week of September 19th.  If residents receive a call inviting them to participate in the survey the District would be most appreciative if people agreed to spend approximately 15 minutes to share their views and assist the District in establishing its priorities for the future.  For those not selected for the random survey there will be an option to complete the survey on the District’s website.

Mayor Nils Jensen stated, “Council is committed to community engagement and this survey is an excellent way of learning the views and priorities of Oak Bay residents.”  He added, “Please take the opportunity to let us know what we are doing well, what we need to improve and what we should be focusing on in the coming years.”
