The District of Oak Bay will be replacing 120 metres of storm main on Thompson Avenue between Pacific Avenue and Musgrave Street. Additionally, 60 meters of storm main will be replaced on Mayhew St. These projects will begin on September 13, 2021, with a scheduled completion date of February 2022. See below the plan outlining the work zone. 

Traffic 
During construction, Thompson Avenue will be closed to all non-local traffic. Residential parking for local traffic may be restricted during this time.  Please do not hesitate to call the District if you have any special requirements.

Works Expected
Public Works crews will work between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.  This work is part of our ongoing stormwater infrastructure improvement plan to improve stormwater management within the Estevan Catchment.

Project Status:

> December, 2021 - The storm main work has now been completed. The District will return in early 2022 to remove the curb on the Southeast side of Thompson from Lokier Garden to Pacific Avenue. A complete road rebuild of Thomspson Avenue will also commence from Musgrave to Mayhew in 2022.
