This is one of five open house events to engage the Oak Bay community on the Uplands Combined Sewer Separation Project.

Story boards at the open house will address the following:

• Why is the District undertaking the Uplands Combined Sewer Separation Project?

• What are combined sewers and combined sewer overflows?

• Who pays for the separation of the municipal sewers in the Uplands area?

• What are property owner responsibilities?

• What are property owner responsibilities under the Heritage Conservation Act?

• What are the six options under consideration and what are the approximate costs?

The story boards will also show homes already with separated sewers to their property boundary and homes with pumps for the Humber and Rutland catchment areas.

Attendees can provide written comments on the project at the meeting.
