SUMMARY:Uncle Wiggly & The Smokin’ Hot Toasters Dance Party
DESCRIPTION:Big Hank Lionhart\, is also known as Uncle Wiggly\, and this year marks Hank’s 61st year in the music business—a career that began in Edmonton during high school and continued in Seattle while attending art school. \nHank played in several notable bands in Edmonton before moving to Victoria in 1978\, where he formed the infamous Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues Band. The band was signed to RCA Records and opened shows for legends such as Muddy Waters\, Joe Cocker\, and George Thorogood. They represented British Columbia at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee. \nIn 1985\, Hank moved to Vancouver\, where he met Steve Cross. Together\, they founded The Toasters\, becoming a mainstay in Vancouver’s vibrant Blues & R&B scene during the 1980s. The Toasters opened for the Neville Brothers\, Koko Taylor\, and John Mayall. Later\, Jack Lavin joined the band\, and they became The Kingpins\, recording two albums featuring original songs penned by Jack. \nAfter The Kingpins\, Hank returned to Edmonton and formed Big Hank & A Fist Full of Blues\, a group that lasted nine years and recorded two albums of original material. During this time\, Hank met his wife\, Kim and in 2014\, they relocated to Victoria\, where Hank reformed the original Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues Band. The band achieved recognition by winning the right to represent British Columbia at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. \nAs some members of Uncle Wiggly’s retired\, Hank retired the band and reformed The Toasters\, later renamed The Smokin’ Hot Toasters. Hank also performs with the Blue Heart Folk Blues Trio\, alongside Mark Comerford from Uncle Wiggly’s and Mick Woodhouse from The Toasters. Hank continues to enjoy singing and performing live. \nThey play a Smokin’ Hot collection of great dance tunes a mix of R&B\, Rocking Blues and Swing\, you won’t want to miss this night of outstanding music\, and wear your comfy shoes\, you’ll be dancing all night! \nThe band features Big Hank (Uncle Wiggly) Lionhart – (lead vocals)\, Stewart McLellan – (guitar & vocals)\, Mick Woodhouse (bass & vocals)\, Steve Ranta (keys & vocals)\, James McRae (drums) and Jonnie Bridgman – sax \n\nhttps://youtu.be/UNxOU9AGh-c?si=KbdhZ6uUOzOFDDWc \n\n\n\nTickets are available through Beacon Ridge Productions.

SUMMARY:Aleksi Campagne + Bagatelle | Double Bill
DESCRIPTION:Join Beacon Ridge Productions for their next concert. \n\n\nhttps://www.aleksicampagne.com/ \nJoin us for a special double bill featuring Aleksi Campagne and Bagatelle—two standout voices in contemporary folk and acoustic music. \nNamed Roots Music Canada’s New Discovery of the Year\, Montrealer Aleksi Campagne is a fiddle-singer that blends his folk songwriting roots with a multi-layered sound of voice\, violin and looping-effect pedals. Aleksi won a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award for his bilingual album\, which offers 10 songs in English & the same 10 songs in French. With rich vocals\, virtuosic musicianship\, and deeply expressive songwriting\, Aleksi Campagne brings a fresh\, genre-crossing sound that draws from folk\, classical\, and roots traditions. His performances are both intimate and powerful\, connecting instantly with audiences. \nAleksi Campagne is uniquely qualified to offer a contemporary indie-folk take on the fiddle-singing tradition. Since he was five years old\, he has performed alongside his mother\, Canadian folk icon Connie Kaldor and his father Paul Campagne of the francophone band Hart Rouge. At 19\, he moved to Paris to study under jazz violin legend Didier Lockwood. At 21\, he became the only student to be accepted into the classical violin\, jazz violin\, and jazz voice performance programs at McGill University. \nBagatelle delivers a vibrant\, family-rooted sound steeped in traditional French Canadian influences. With masterful playing and infectious energy\, their music is both refined and joyful—guaranteed to lift the room. Bagatelle blends the rhythmic pulse of traditional Québécois music with the infectious energy of bluegrass. The band delivers a high-energy performance filled with tight harmonies and irresistible toe-tapping tunes. Whether it’s a foot-stomping reel\, a heartfelt ballad\, or a lively call-and-response song“ in French. Bagatelle brings a fresh yet deeply rooted sound that captivates audiences. With a repertoire that weaves together old-world melodies and modern bluegrass flair\, this band is surely going to have you singing along! \nTogether\, these artists will create a dynamic evening of storytelling\, melody\, and world-class musicianship. \nDon’t miss this unique pairing of two exceptional acts sharing one stage. \n\n\nTickets are available through Beacon Ridge Productions.
