DESCRIPTION:Join Beacon Ridge Productions for their next concert. \n\n\nhttps://www.tonymcmanus.com/ \n\n\nHailed as the best Celtic guitarist in the world\, Tony McManus was listed as one of the 50 transcendental guitarists by Guitar Player Magazine \n\n\n\n\nConjuring a unique but universal language from that most ubiquitous of instruments\, the acoustic guitar\, Tony McManus has both extended and transcended the parameters of contemporary Celtic music. Ranked by peers and predecessors alike alongside the guitar world’s all-time greats\, his fiendishly dexterous\, dazzlingly original playing draws on traditions from the entire Celtic diaspora – Scotland\, Ireland\, Brittany\, Galicia\, Asturias\, Cape Breton\, Quebec – along with still further-ranging flavours\, such as jazz and east European music. Long applauded for his uncanny ability to transpose the delicate\, complex ornamentation characteristic of traditional bagpipe or fiddle tunes – even the phrasing of a Gaelic song – onto his own six strings\, McManus is increasingly being acknowledged also as a pioneering figure in bridging the realms of Celtic music and other guitar genres. \nBorn in 1965 in Paisley\, near Glasgow\, his surname the legacy of an Irish grandfather\, McManus was introduced to traditional music via the family record collection. Having first tried his hand at the fiddle\, whistle and mandolin\, he took up the guitar aged ten\, although subsequent academic inclinations got him halfway through a PhD in maths before the music won out. After rapidly making his name as an unusually fluent and sensitive accompanist\, he took the solo plunge with a triumphant main-stage debut on the final night of Glasgow’s inaugural Celtic Connections festival in 1994\, supporting Capercaillie in front of a 2500-strong crowd. \nOver the years\, Tony has recorded a catalog of dazzling albums\, both solo and with friends\, delivering a breadth of artistry and performance which conjures up images and themes of the traditional music of the Celts along with more global influences from far and wide. \n\n\n\n\nTickets are available through Beacon Ridge Productions.

SUMMARY:The Sutcliffes Dance Party
DESCRIPTION:Join Beacon Ridge Productions for their next concert. \n\n\nhttp://www.sutcliffesband.com/ \n\nThe Sutcliffes offer the energetic stage show they are renowned for as they cover a varied catalogue of songs that fill the dance floor.\n\n\n\nA Beatles band with a slightly different take. Their focus is on the Beatles from Hamburg\, to the Cavern\, and the BBC studios- the songs they wrote\, the songs they covered and the songs they loved. They play early period songs\, with a nod to the more well-known tracks. They cover many of the Beatles seminal influences\, from early rock and roll classics like Chuck Berry’s Memphis\, to the slinky R&B of Anna and on to the country and rockabilly vein of I Got a Woman (their version of the Beatles doing Elvis’s cover of a Ray Charles song…). \nWhen the Sutcliffes were invited to play The Liverpool Beatles Festival they realized the dream of every kid who ever listened to the Beatles. The annual event sees tens of thousands of visitors make the pilgrimage to listen to some of the greatest performers from around the world. The Sutcliffes were the first artists from B.C. to ever be invited and were there with over 50 other acts from Europe\, Asia and North and South America. \nThe Sutcliffes are a band that is in high demand\, they have a huge following of devoted fans\, so be sure to get your tickets early! \n\n\n\n\nTickets are available through Beacon Ridge Productions.
