Aleksi won a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award for his bilingual album\, which offers 10 songs in English & the same 10 songs in French. With rich vocals\, virtuosic musicianship\, and deeply expressive songwriting\, Aleksi Campagne brings a fresh\, genre-crossing sound that draws from folk\, classical\, and roots traditions. His performances are both intimate and powerful\, connecting instantly with audiences. \nAleksi Campagne is uniquely qualified to offer a contemporary indie-folk take on the fiddle-singing tradition. Since he was five years old\, he has performed alongside his mother\, Canadian folk icon Connie Kaldor and his father Paul Campagne of the francophone band Hart Rouge. At 19\, he moved to Paris to study under jazz violin legend Didier Lockwood. At 21\, he became the only student to be accepted into the classical violin\, jazz violin\, and jazz voice performance programs at McGill University. \nBagatelle delivers a vibrant\, family-rooted sound steeped in traditional French Canadian influences. With masterful playing and infectious energy\, their music is both refined and joyful—guaranteed to lift the room.
