The Recreation Centre will reopen on August 5. We’re excited for a fully updated Reception centre\, new kitchen flooring and other necessary updates to the facility. Please note that the Recreation Centre will not be accessible to the public during the closure. For alternate fitness classes in Oak Bay\, please see the Drop-in Fitness Schedule on our website. \nPlease Note: \n\nMembers with an active Social Activity Membership at the time of the facility closure will receive an extension in membership for the length of the closure.\nOak Bay Public Library & Oak Bay Volunteer Services will be open during the facility closure.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Oak Bay Arts Alive 2025 Opening Celebration\nThursday\, July 17\, 2025 | 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.\nStart: McNeill Bay | End: Scented Gardens\, Windsor Park \nOak Bay Parks\, Recreation and Culture invites the public to the opening celebration of Arts Alive 2025. The evening begins with a free guided tour of this year’s public sculpture installations\, accompanied by live performances from local musicians. Participants are encouraged to join the tour by bus\, bicycle\, skates or scooter. \nThe tour runs from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m.\, followed by a reception from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Windsor Park.
