SUMMARY:Public Information Session – 1538 Monterey Avenue Temporary Use Permit
DESCRIPTION:At the July 27\, 2026 meeting of Council\, Council approved a Temporary Use Permit for the property at 1538 Monterey Avenue to be utilized for general institutional uses\, including temporary municipal offices\, office storage\, and staff training for Oak Bay Police and Fire Departments.  \nThe District is holding a public information session to provide an overview of the scope and schedule of emergency services training and to receive feedback from the community on both parking and site maintenance.  \nStaff will be available to answer questions and provide more information on the training activities\, schedule\, measures to limit impacts on neighbours and the updated maintenance plan for the site. \nPublic Information Session  \nDate: Thursday\, August 27\, 2026\nTime: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.\nLocation: Monterey Recreation Centre – Cedar Room (1442 Monterey Avenue)  \nCan’t attend in person?
