Help to keep our concerts in the park green. \nLocation: Willows Beach Park\, Oak Bay\nDate: Saturday\, July 5\, 2025\nTime: 2:00 p.m.\nAdmission: Free \n1st Set – lək̓ʷəŋən Traditional Dancers\nThe lək̓ʷəŋən Traditional Dancers. The history of lək̓ʷəŋən Traditional Dancers stretches back 45 years. Currently under the guidance of sisters Lyla and Beth Dick\, the group was founded in 1978 at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre by Ray Peter from the Cowichan tribe along with Bob Malcom and Jim\, Butch and Skip Dick. \n2nd Set – Pacific Opera Victoria\nEnjoy a captivating performance by artists from Pacific Opera Victoria\, featuring Chelsea Kutyn and Tim Carter. \n3rd Set – STAGES Dance Company\nFounded in 1980 under Kim Breiland’s artistic direction\, STAGES Dance Company is one of Victoria’s largest pre-professional performing ensembles. STAGES fosters a love of dance\, bringing the community together through movement and artistry. \n4th Set – Marimba Mufaro\nMufaro Marimba is a dynamic musical ensemble that brings the vibrant\, infectious rhythms of Zimbabwe and southern Africa to life. The name “Mufaro” means “joy” in Shona\, reflecting the uplifting spirit of the music they play.
